Simple wisdom in 55 words
Anyone can obscure the simple,
complicate the clear,
and forget the essential.
Simple, clear, essential wisdom: Focus on serving people.
*
- Reject distractions. Serve people.
- Stop the irrelevant. Serve people.
- Eliminate structures. Serve people.
*
You’re not selling a product. You’re serving people.
You’re not making money. You’re serving people.
Simple isn’t it?
*********
What makes you forget simple wisdom? How does “serving people” change your attitude?

How timely was your 55 words of wisdom. It enabled me to bring another perspective into a decision I was trying to make. Thank-you.
Erica,
I find my whole perspective changes when I remember simple wisdom. I’m less stressed, more positive, and forward facing.
Regards,
Dan
Dan,
Have you been reading your Bible again? That a boy! Matthew 25:34-40
Shawn,
Wisdom has been wisdom for a long time!
Dan
I love the stories of organizations where the CEO and other managers spend time actually “on the floor” or “on the phones” or however their organization interfaces with their clients. We get distanced so rapidly for how it feels to be the customer/client, needing an explanation and a patient ear. We all have to put our selves back in the customers’ shoes occasionally to keep perspective on why we’re doing what we do.
Paula,
Yup! Its so easy to replace people with paper, policies and procedures! Even mom’s get overwhelmed with tasks and lose sight of the little people. 🙂
Thanks for stopping in.
Dan
55 Words of Wisdom? How about 17 syllables? I like to write Haiku and today, Dan, you have inspired the following:
Simple wisdom is
service and integrity
use The Golden Rule.
