Community Update – 05/01/10

It’s exciting to see both regular and new people leaving comments on LF. I love being part of a community where people share their perspective, thoughts, experiences, and wisdom. Some comments affirm, some add to, and some disagree. All are welcomed.

Thanks to Jim Leemann – owner of The Leemann Group for including a reference to Leadership Freak in an upcoming article he’s written.

Thanks to Shawn Graham who wrote, “Manage Your Message” for Leadership Freak and gave away three copies of his book, “Courting Your Career.” Shawn Blogs at Courting your Career and for Fast Company

Congratulations to Lenna from Portuagal and Wayne from Oregon. Shawn is sending a signed copy of his book to you. Enjoy it. I did.

Thanks to The Credit Union Executives Society (CUES) in Madison, Wisconsin.  They specialize in professional development for credit union leaders. They’re publishing the Leadership Freak blog, “Influence over a Cup of Coffee,” in their professional journal.

Thank you to Amy who is helping me reach-out and keep up with communications. She just started writing her own personal blog. She shares her thoughts from a Christian perspective on Blogging My Thoughts.

Book Note: I just finished John Maxwell’s book, “Everyone Communicates Few Connect.” It’s an easy read with useful suggestions for connecting one-on-one, in groups, and with audiences.

“To add value to others, one must first value others.” John Maxwell

Four months ago I began leveraging Internet technology as a tool to encourage and share with others. I’m thankful for hundreds of new connections and thrilled at being part of the Leadership Freak community.

For your convenience I’ve published my email address in the right hand navigation bar.
