Service is as simple as a cup of water. That’s what Leadership Freak is all about. Occasionally, a post seems to connect deeply with my audience. Here are the top six posts from 2015. (Based on views.)

Toxic: Assume silence is agreement.
Healthy: Evaluate everything your team does by the reason for it’s existence.

Ask people for their conclusion when they start speaking. (Especially if they are long-winded)
Limit the number of participants to five or six at most.
#3. Six Core Skills of Leaders who Develop Talent (Feb. 11)
Favorite ideas:
Talent development is the best development.
Stay focused on results while building relationships.
#4. Seven Things Successful Leaders Ignore (Sept. 6)
Favorite ideas:
Your leadership is doomed if you pay attention to everything. Urgency and priority may be separate issues.
Pay attention to patterns, not isolated incidents.
#5. 15 Ways to Tell if Someone is Arrogant or Humble (Aug. 28)
Favorite ideas:
Arrogance negotiates honesty based on what’s best for itself.
Arrogant leaders focus on your responsibility to them. Humble leaders focus on responsibility to others.
#6. How to Hold People Accountable Without Using Authority (Aug. 6 )
Favorite ideas:
Don’t demand what must be given. True accountability is self-imposed.
The uncommitted can be coerced but they don’t feel accountable.
Clarification:

All the posts are equally powerful Dan. I always believe in creating accountability. In absence of this, many problems sprout. This has great impact on workplace relationships. Rest others could be sub segment of it. Ideas about meeting and its member is really powerful. Creating processes in the system and strong execution can cure most of the precarious issues.
Your blog is really effective. This is one reason, I am sharing my views for the past 06 years. This association tells lot about your concern and posts.
An effective blogs connects people, dig out their potentials, directs them, encourage them, initiate them and create impact on people and surroundings. Your blog has done it successfully.

I had over 50 posts from the last year saved in a folder I frequently reference – I don’t know that I can pinpoint a favorite however “How To Let Yourself Be Angry” is one that jumped out right away. Like Vinay, I also saved “Six Core Skills of leaders who Develop Talent”.
What makes for a good post? Anything written by you in the style you write it. I love how candid, succint and relevant you are. It definitely feels like you are in the trenches with us! As you know, leadership can be lonely; knowing you’re here with us makes it less so.
I also love the takeaways I get out of my favorite posts: an idea to think over; a best practice to implement or a question to ask myself or a teammate.
Most of all I respect and admire your humility and willingness to be courageous.

Thanks Dan for collecting some of the best postings of the year. In fact I am an avid reader of all your posts and have stored them in separate folder for reference. What is bothering today’s business is lack of clarity , inability to communicate with atricluation etc; among the younger lot. I am sure you would like to dig out a posting on this.
