- Say “we” not “they.” “I” is better.
- Don’t apologize unless you screwed up.
- Don’t expect others to save you.
- Don’t put others on the spot.
- Take immediate corrective action.
- Keep others in the loop. You may be tempted to pull away and clam up. It’s better to open up.
