#1. Answer the Question Behind the Question
Interviewers wonder, “Can I trust you with this role?” Go beyond answers. Provide evidence.
Connect responses to team or company results.
Begin by saying what you did. Stand out by explaining how you made things better for others.
I received an email about a boss’s aspirations. The writer asks, “What are your thoughts on the idea of asking your manager what their ambitions are?”
It’s a wonderful question with political implications. A direct answer might be difficult.
