There are three ways and only three to get more time.
Stop doing something.
Get someone else to do something.
Become more efficient.
Eliminate … Delegate … Accelerate
Can you think of other ways to get more time?
This post was revised and expanded with 10 time management tips: http://leadershipfreak.blog/2010/12/10/you-only-need-three-words/
This is time management and optimization reduced to it’s basic and essential elements. Simple, straightforward, without all the hocus pocus of time management complexities. I like the way you distilled this concept into just three words: eliminate…delegate…accelerate.
Good job, Dan.
Thanks for the good word here and for all you give to the community.
(My shortest comment).
A companion to “Eliminate” is, stop saying yes to everything.
Nicely said Eric.
One more way: Dont START more stuff – if you want to achieve MORE – more is always LESS.
Thanks for adding to the conversation.
A fundamental principle of success coaching, eloquently phrased. Thanks Dan.
Will “Like” and “Retweet” immediately…
Thanks for your support. Success to you.
Time is very cultural – don´t you think ? Interestting to look at different perceptions of time across cultures. In Denmark we perceive Americans as fast.
I try to tell m fellow countrymen – the US is big – they are not all fast.
In Denmark – there is vast differences in the perception of time – and that in just a very small country. So handling time issues across personal, professional and national differences is really imprtant. But your general suggestions probably can be applied anywhere.
Thanks for adding your perspective to the idea of time. I think you are right. In a big country like the US different regions have different approaches to time. For example, the South is a little more laid back than the North East.
Yes. Push deadline out 🙂
I love all of your posts, but this one hits home. Time to ACCELERATE!
Hi Chris… its short and sweet for busy people! 🙂 Cheers, Dan
I like it! Accelerate can accomodate a multitude of approaches: experience, learning, technique, attititude …
Will retweet for sure!
thx for the good word Kevin!
